We've been wanting to run a Hampden TT, using pit bikes and the such, that would run down Fallsway (an old Baltimore industrial road) and back to Hampden at Midnight on a Saturday. Looks like you guys had a blast. Thanks for sharing!
Is that a smog pump off of a late model? That's the ****! So are you gonna run the carb blow through style? You have the wheels in my head turnin now. I have a 8HP Briggs with clutch, and old mini bike frame and a brand new smog pump still in the box off of an 80's Caddy. I need to track down a torque-a-verter and it's on.
Screw it. They were having fun. **** happens. Let he who has never been a fun loving jack*** be the first to cast a stone. My old man always told me about the days when guys could go out and get into a little bit of mischief and if the cops got involved, it was a slap on the wrist and shake of the head. He always wondered what happened to those days..... they got flushed by all the wusses with their ******* in a wad. Let's be realistic here, they were not performing m*** virginal sacrifice on the town square here. They were buzzng around on toys. I personally think it looks like fun. But this does seem like an odd response from somebody named "troublemaker"....
Yes Ryan was there, had his pomp way up there too!!Hes in the first set of pics to the left of a guy in a red sweatshirt. Its the center picture. Jimv
This is Mike drumm, thats his "******" shin on the first post!! I watched it happen, not very graceful!!lololol JimV
Ratty55, I see where ya goin, but give us a little more explanation, and by the way thats some cool outta the box **** right there. Later, Billy
It's a smog pump off a mid 70's gm 350. I've been told by several mechanics that these pumps are capable of putting out significant pressures. Not sure if it will have the CFM necessary or the amount of boost is enough to overcome the parasitic loss of the pump. Only time will tell. It will be started by a remote handheld starter that i'm working on. Everything on the motor's done, just working on finishing the starter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaQe5Iub-EY Justin
Ok its an air pump what does that force the air in and do. Use. The regular carb pleasegive us more of a explainastion this looks very interesting
Looks like a need to p*** out some sugar ***s or some feminine hygene products. Jeez Looks like great fun. Didn't they just carpet Rhode Island?
That's what I was wondering about... Maybe use an engine with the PTO shaft. A lot of guys cut the extra shaft off, but maybe it could be put to use.
They didn't carpet it, but theres a sign on 95 north & south going into Ct or m*** that says" last person out of RI turn off the lights" JimV
I think that maybe a "Illegal mini bike MIDNIGHT race" might be cool.Maybe in one of the smaller towns like lincoln or something.Run one or 2 laps thru the streets at night, start off from a safe, private area. Can be called " the Paul Revere" ride!! How about it geoff? Jimv
Ah ah ah.... i just saved all of the pics in a folder naming it Rhode Aces Illegal Mini bike race '09. Love the guy w/ the rat Fink mask on the bike! That gives a perfect idea of the spirit of things i believe! As for the people saying it was inresponsible to do that i kinda cant believe this kind of brain washing mentality got so deep in our society. All of that what if, what if.... im sure these guys missed on a lot of opportunities thinkin about what if...... so what if you get off the darn sofa and start living! Thanx for sharing!
After all it was called the "ILLEGAL" mini bike race!lol It was also on halloween so alot of people dressed up(Except for ashely , she always dresses like a german beer wench, lol) JimV
That sounds like a blast! does the stucture have the spiral type ramps?, if only I could join in but I'm a little far away. just built this one for the Eagle Field Drags.
It does, two spirals as a matter of fact, one for up and one for down. My thinking on this is the Detroit Police force is very slow in responding to "minor" infractions such as this and by the time someone would call and they would get there, we'd be long gone. This is our little group that rides on ScottK's two acre property. Sure would love the group to grow but no one else around here is too into it I guess. That's really nice looking, I like the rake on the back. Good luck at the Drags with it.
