I was looking for a remote oil filter for my 302 in a 51 Ford 2Dr. project.
I can't get a short Fram Filter in the area by the crossmember. Any tech out on this? Help a HAMB brother out.

Do a Google search. Many remote filter options out there. Summit Racing, Jegs, Speedway....they all have them. ....and stay away from Fram oil filters.

Ford Racing has a filter adapter that turns the filter 90 degrees, I don't know if that will help. It's available at Jegs. I just got one for my buddies 29. part # M-6880-A50

You can use a adapter from a 6 cyclinder mid 80s van, I use one on my T and have givin friends the adapter. I got them at a pick an pull yard for 8 dollars.

I used a WIX filter in my shoebox with a 302. I don't recall the part# but could get it for tonight if it would help.

Ford has an adapter for vans that allows you to rotate the filter forwardand has about 90 degrees of rotation and the above infor is available also. You have many to choose from.

Try a PH16 filter or use a TransDapt remote

Motorcraft EFL 90 or equivalent fits SBF and is only 3 1/2 inch long.

I don't know how much room you have to work with, I'm guessing very little.
Napa sells a short filter (2 1/4 inch stand off from block), NAPA Gold part # 1335.
