1946 ford fender well headers or block hugger headers

What is everyone running on thier 1946-1948 ford p***enger w/ sbc. I bought a set of fenderwell headers and I guess my body is wider then my friends 40 chevy, because I have to really modify mine to work, espesally the p***enger side.

The car came with block hugger headers which I would use, but I don`t see how to run them for exhaust, since the steering box, pitman arm and X- frame is in the way.

The exhuast is the last thing left. I was hoping to get it on the road before they lay down the salt.

Here`s whats on my 48. Pretty heavily modified late model Impala SS LT1 headers.

 

Original ford 46' box. I`ll find out this weekend,but I think I have to cut the flange off and weld on extension tubes to get it way from the body.
