spose it could be done, but it might be uncomfortable for the occupants of the rear seat. I love my 51 Stude biz coupe especially because it does NOT have a rear seat. If you have small kids and want to take them in your biz coupe, search the pick a parts for one of those removeable seats from a mini-van or large SUV, remember to take the seat AND the floor hardware that it attaches to. Then upholster to match, and you have it both ways - put it in when you need it, remove it when you don't. IMHO, anyone other than kids will probably not want to ride back there. Kids may love it since its sort of private and concealed!
Thanx Vegas Paul that seems to be a viable option. I do have a couple kids and that is why I want to do this, otherwise I would leave it alone.
Why don't you put those fold down seats in, mounted sideways like the ones in those 80's-90's rangers and s-10's extended cabs ? more leg room
Vegas Paul... I'm thinking a Studebaker Business coupe from that era must be way different that the Chevrolet one. plenty of room back there for people. find an original seat. there are hooks and some hole filler deals that a business coupe may not have. you'll need to find or make those. original seats are super comfortable and highly recommended.
That 50 Chevy Business Coupe is physically the same as my 51 Deluxe Coupe. Mine has a back seat that comfortably fits 2-3 people back there. I'm assuming a back seat like similar to the one I have would fit right in there.
