While I was at the SEMA show, I stopped by the Edelbrock booth to see what is new. They are making a performance version of the old Holley 94 carb. They have worked in conjunction with Dennis Carpenter to produce the 94. Edelbrock will sell the performance version and Carpenter will sell the "replacement" carb for stockers. They are also making a manifold for early Chevy's to take these carbs. I looks like a pertty cool setup and the 94's perform a lot better that the 97's IMO. The target price for the whole setup for the Chevy, including manifold, carbs, linkage, air cleaners, fuel block and hose is $1400. This is the flathead setup. Here is the Chevy setup
I must admit...I have a bit of a man crush on Vic Jr. He mkes stuff for everything from 348/409s to AMCs. He has risked a ****pot of cash to bring odd ball parts to us backyard hot rod guys. Made in America, no less. -Abone.
Hunh? I haven't found any of their products to be "m***ively overpriced". I've found them to be compe***ively priced, especially for the quality. And made in the good ol' USA to boot. How about you give us some examples of what you're talking about?
NO NO NO, Not Edelbrock, they are American Made all the way. I was refering to Speedy Bill Smith as was ZMan. They do it a lot, just ask Vern Tardel and The Hot Rod Works in Idaho. BB
