What is the skinny on this event??? Would it be worth a 4.5 hour trip?? Anyone attending?? for the geographically challanged, Thompson is in the NE corner of Connecticut. http://www.thompsonspeedway.com/schedules/flea-market.htm http://www.thompsonspeedway.com/
Never been but a good friend of mine wouldn't miss it! Hes been going for a number of years and saz its one of the better ones but it has a lot of roundy round stuff. Pontiac Slim
Ha - literally 15 minutes from where I grew up, now about 30 minutes from my home. It's pretty good, but a lot of roundy roundy stuff, yeah. Usually fills the whole speedway, pits, it's a good sized event. I'll be there both Saturday and Sunday hopefully. Definitely Sunday. Lake Compounce is the 9th. Pete
Hm. much longer drive for me. It is sunday is that correct? I something higher priority that day anyway. Perhaps I can make it next year. I would like to check that one out. Rebecca
Might as well post in 2009, seeing as I posted to this post in 2008. I'll be going Saturday, can't go Sunday. Pete
Lake Compounce is great to sell a car at, but Thompson has real race car stuff, not so much Camaro.. least that's my 2 cents. Going to Thompson for sure.
In my back yard over 100 acres of spaces and close to 2,000 Vendors! Both Saturday and Sunday Adults tickets are 10$ I think kids under 12 free
If the weather is clear, this event can be pretty huge. I've had good luck there over the years and never miss it if I can help it. The above guys are right, absolutely tons of circle track stuff, but plenty of vintage stuff too. I prefer it to Stafford Springs. Certainly worth going if you're within easy driving distance. Get there early, either day.
