Not sure how this is gonna work, but here goes.

Here's the video of my flatty starting for the first time. Had my Dad over to turn the key for the very first time.:) :D:D:D:D

Spun it with no plugs till it got pressure, then put in plugs and fired it up. No water in it, so we only ran it for about 20 seconds. You'll hear my Dad say "over 50" when I asked about oil pressure on the gauge when she was running.

Yeah, it's not done, or perfect, but I was inclined to not wait 3 more years to have Dad fire it up, if you get my drift.

I hope it's not too corny for the HAMB - I was pretty excited that it ran.

And my Dad turned the key that started it for the first time, and that's what matters to me. :)

    Pete.

Very nice video. Thanks for shareing it with us. It would be nice if my Dad were still here for these occasions but he is in a better place now. No doubt your dad had a great time on the start up. kudos.

That was wonderful Pete! Thank you so much for sharing! But I have to admit that it brought a tear to my eye. Like some of the other guys who responded, I no longer have my Dad to share these special moments with. But I did have a lot of good "car" times with him when he was alive and they never fail to make me smile when I recall them. Regards, Dave.

The video was to cool. Seeing your dad in the car really touched my heart. Great memory and keepsake in the video. I am sure many of us on the HAMB would love to have the opportunity to do that type thing with our fathers that are gone now.
May God bless all of the days your father and you share. Gary

i gotta admit doing that with your dad rocks. i have a feeling it wouldn't of mattered if the engine didn't start just hanging with your dad is stellar.
