Hi everyone just wanted to say that I finally joined this forum. I enjoy driving my 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup (90 percent origanl). I bought this truck from a junkyard in N.C. I replaced my broke 235 with a 261, and a trans, driveshaft and a rearend from a 1955 1st series 3100.
I just bought a 1951 GMC 100 and can't figure out the vin tag. I looked it up on stovebolt.com and it says it is a 1961 ? The rivets are orignal. Does anyone know how to figure the GMC vin tag out?
Not sure about a GMC VIN. Not had one but love the AD trucks. Check out the social group for them! I'm in Blissfield, work in Ypsi.
Welcome to the HAMB. I was born and raised in Muskegon, how is MI doing these days? I recommend using the search feature on the main forum to find decoding information. If you can't find anything, start a thread on it and someone will point you in the right direction.
MI is doing poorly these days!!! Thanks to our government !!! I don't see it bouncing back any time soon !!!
Thanks for the welcome guys. I hope it does'nt snow a lot this year. I would'nt mind driving my 50 a bit longer this season!!!

If it snows, well, then we just have to head for the basement! Hope to see lots of you at Autorama. For now we just keep on plugging along, fixing what we can and getting ready for next year.
