Who could recommend someone to build a 40 ch***is for a pickup project I want to start?. I want to retain the complete original drivetrain. I can find plenty of street rod frames on the internet, but nothing close to stock.

I've looked at several gennie frames but all of them had problems with rust that I don't want to deal with on this project.

    Thanks!!

  2. try 'ch***is engineering' in west branch, Iowa. I used all their stuff under my 40 cpe. good luck

  5. Good original frames are hard to find. And the market for stock repops is just not there.

    Any 35-40 frame will work.

Have you tried an ad on the Ford Barn site?

Heinzman specializes in rehabilitating 35-40 frames and up grading them for use with later motors and upgraded suspensions. They may be able to provide you with a good stock frame or revitalize the one you already have. I understand they have a stash of frames and also do exchanges.
