  1. Just finished reading about Kirk's car in the TRJ, again WOW!!!!! It's really wants me to go farther on my 62 Merc Monterey. Let's see some more customs from these to manufactures from those years.

Here is my 1962 Galaxie 500 Q Code Solid Lifter HiPerf 390, 3 Dueces factory 4spd 3.89. A 9700 mile rust free, dent free survivor. Spent the last 14 years under a carport, with rear end exposed the the weather in Fontana, and the previous 30 years in a Texas shed.

Am currenly getting it ready for paint, stripping back the cracked and crazed finish. Bumpers have been rechromed, currently polishing the stainless, have new interior, rubbers, seals, just about all the parts ready to finish it. It came with the 427 cast long headers as part of the deal. The engine is plenty stout and pulls hard. The centerlines are going to make way for some vintage Torq Thrusts and want to have it back on the road be Feb 2010, the good wife has been lending a hand and has made the project a famliy affair.

    Here's what I got.
It's a 75k mile 1 owner original. All the chrome is really nice, and it has a mint original interior.
It just needs a couple of rust spots repaired, and motor rebuild finished.
Plans are for some mild dechroming, lowering and the ET's. It going to be a low buck family cruiser.
