6V start button question

Hi,

I've been scouring the board for more inforamtion on how to wire a 6V (positive ground) push start ****on using a relay, but no luck.

Currently running a 56 Olds 324 in a Model A running 12V negative system, using an aftermarket wiring harness. I have:

A: Push ****on start
B: 50 something ignition ( Acc, off, on) for fuel pump.
C: Kill switch for Mag.

Right now I have the relay wired as follows:
87 ground
85 12V constant
86 Push ****on

I can push the starter ****on, get the relay to click, but no voltage at 87 A or 30.

Afraid to jump any wires and let the smoke out...

The push ****on don't care about voltage. If this is a old Ford ****on they were a one wire ground to work the solinoid. If your relay needs power to work you will need a 2 wire ****on.
