It's my turn to ask a question for a change.

Will the crossmembers and pedals from larger 46/48 Ford trucks work for the crossmember swap into the earlier frames? I seem to be running across several 1-1/2 and up trucks but no pickups that can donate to the cause.

The crossmembers from the F-2 and F-3 are larger/deeper than the F-1s with the smaller 3 speed transmission. The F-4 and larger trucks are even bigger because the frame rails are wider, top to bottom, than the smaller trucks. You probably could use them but it will take some modification. The all have the same brake/clutch pedal combination.

Thanks, it looks like it is back to more serious hunting for the right unit.

What do you mean by "for the earlier frame'? Model T, Model A, 32, 33-34, 35-41, 42-48 car or truck or what?
How much more universal can a straight across crossmember like you mention with pedals that mount to face of it be?

I agree. They are good pieces. Nothing is a "drop in" anyway.
