Well, you're all being sarcastic... but my first car had a 289 in it and it was a great little engine!

289 are good engines,,the wit is aimed at starting a group. over something as trivial as the cubic inch of your car. what's next?a group for baby moon hubcaps???just asking?

It's called 289 gang. If you got one, you're in. I'm in with a '65 Ford Fairlane 500. My take on it is any make 289 join up!

maybe SBF group would of worked better.

 

Will we have more Studebaker guys or Ford guys? Studebaker built their 289 for 10 years and Ford built their's from 1965 to 1967. I'm thinking more Studes

I may be a double member. I have two running. One in my Ranchero and one in my '48 panel delivery. Also a 260 waiting on a ch***is.

 

I got a 289(Ford) block and some 351 windsor heads. Is that close enough.

 

what if its a 259? the only real difference is the crank.
