Hi my name is Matt and I'm an alcoholic......sorry...wrong group... Thought I should introduce myself and just finally made the time to do it. I live in Nampa, Idaho with my wife and three boys. Grew up in the SF Bay Area in Cal and moved here about 5 years ago. I sold all of my cars when we were building our house and have finally been able to start collecting parts last year. Currently I am working on a 38 ford truck with a 40 Merc frame that I shortened 10", 40 ford rear end, 38 ford front end with mid 40's front spindles and brakes, 283 with a three speed. I started the project earlier this year. So far I have the chop done (which looks sweet) and am about 90% done with the rear end. I had to make new spring perches for the rear since they were cut off when I got the it. 36 Ford spring with 40 ford split bones. I am trying to build this on a very cheap budget since money is very tight right now. I actually sold one of our vehicles and will make this my daily driver when I am done. When I can get some pictures loaded on my computer, I will try to figure out how to load them up and maybe do a build thread. Sorry about the long post, I have been on a conference call for 4 hours and have been listening to people talk for most of it.
