I have a 54 dodge pickup with stock I beam and drums on the front, I have heard that early mustang disk brakes are a good swap with little rework, Does anyone have any experience with this or have any other reasonable suggestions to use with a basically stock front end?
    Thanks

I dont no if you have solved your proablem yet with your breaks but I have a option for ya! I searched and searched for a way to put disc on a strait axle and found a place called engineered components inc. Gave them a call and after takin some measurements and talkin to them they had a direct bolt on kit that had the same bolt pattern as the rear, billet hubs and stops on a dime. They didnt even no that there kit would fit my truck! It did and I had it installed in a hour after paintin the brackets. Its about 700 bucks but well worth it after waistin my time at junkyards lookin at JUNK! Ive found when you get those parts then spend time and money rebuildin it all, its usually cheaper to buy those sort of things? and sometimes safer. Scarbird also makes a cheaper set up but could never talk to anybody in person and the closest I got to them was a P.O box? Good luck with your ride. Keep us dodge guys posted! oh by the way its 11in. rotors and big piston calipers.
