Haha..if I can talk Jerry into it and I can get it to woah as good as it go-ahs. He always thinks I'm going to tear something up
I commented earlier but just wanted to say that your car proves that when you have one of the best looking stock models around to begin with it doesn't take radical custom work to make it special. The touches are just right and should have some people thinking that it is a rare special edition and not a custom. I like the grill and hubcap treatment, just enough change to cause double takes but still very fitting to the car. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
Nice ride, I love how the seats turned out. Engine compartment looks great also. Enough shiny stuff, but not over board. Very Nice.
Hi. I have a 54 roadmaster, will get pics on soon. What wiper motor are you using on your 55? Ive got the orig vacuum and it ****s...do you know of a cheap n easy electric motor that fits? thanks
Bought a 57 Chev electric wiper motor. It's a bolt on unit....even used the orig. wiper switch that the Buick had. I need to finish the wife's Buick so I can move on to a new project. I have this 50 Ford shoebox sitting by the shop that is begging to have a chopped top. And a 58 Ford pickup with a big rear window in the pasture. Tough decision on which to do next...
Buicks have always been cl***y. You took this one all the way to stunning. Love the tail lights and the color combo seals the deal. Thanks for sharing. Frank
Thanks for all the replies.....Kinda makes it feel like it was all the work. Now if we can just get the interior done....
Wow...that's beautiful. I mised this thread the first time around. I LOVE the frenchedheadlight treatment, and the tail lights are a welcome departure...Great color combo too... Thanks for the quick read on the start to finish build...very satisfying lunch time read...
Very well thought out, and orchestrated! Buicks are a great car, and your's is a great example. Your efforts and hard labor have paid off in spades!
Saw the car at DOTD. Very impressive, and your wife was patient with my questions. Nice car, even nicer lady.
Excellent Play-by-play of a righteous 55 Buick. Kudos to the 'TEAM ' you both are ! I especially LOVE the Colors !!!! -41-
Thanks for the reply. I see Brian gets his talent from his dad. Beautiful work and a nice job on the body. I really like the taillights. I have never seen Chrysler's on a Buick. Everybody uses Lincoln. Can you say "enough"?. Try something origional. Nice job. Modified Buicks are still treated as a red headed stepchild, but thinking is improving. The nationals are in Boston next year and Cleveland after that. Our 53 is quietly modified. It has been lowered with Fatman spindles and 68-70 Ford rear coil springs. New design Truspoke wires and BFG Silvertown radials. The running gear is intact with stock inliner 8 cylinder with Dyna-flow and stock 3.60 rear. Electrics have been changed to 12 volt. We were able to keep up with Brian's speed through Wyoming. I'm sure a lot more comfortable and quiet than him. ( I like his Buick taillights. It makes him a friend of the family.) Thanks ckrussell53
