  3. NAILHEAD TERRY - The hydraulic rollers you need are the retro rollers for the LA series Mopar small blocks...273, 318, etc. In your High Deck Desoto block, they are a drop-in...no modification of ANY kind needed. In my 291 Low Deck DeSoto, I had to open up the lifter bore access holes to drop them in through the deck. The extra 3/4" deck height of the 330/341/345 High Deck engines allows them to be installed from UNDER the deck. You'll need your pushrods shortened and the proper ends installed for the lifter end and the rocker end. I had mine done by Smith Brothers. And as for the roller cam, CALL DONNY JOHANSON. My blown 291 fired before the crank turned a full turn on first fire-up, and runs like Gang Busters...NO problems whatsoever with the cam, rollers, push rods, geometry...or anything, for that matter...
