Is there that one car I should have never sold? The answer is simple NO. I've had some very nice rides like a , '41 Ford custom convertible top 100 in the nation 2001, '57 Bel Air fast and cool looking, '27 Ford T great hot rod, a '49 Cadillac sedanette awesome car it'll be the next to go. When some asks how could you sell that beautiful car, I just say I'll just get another beautiful. So many cars and so little time. :D

    I was about 17,in highschool,no money,no job,I had a 67 plymouth satelite (like a GTX)with a crunched quarter panel ( had one to put on it).
I went to this guys place that had old cars one day, he offered me a little cozworth vega for the plymouth,I said no and started to leave then I looked at the plymouths gas hand as I was pulling out the driveway,it was on empty,I was broke, and I knew the vega had a full tank.........
I should have at least tried to make it home on what little gas was in the plymouth:eek:..............:D...

  5. This one. I use it for my avitar so I am reminded every day just how stupid I was to let it get away. I would give my first born to get it back, but it's a whole ocean away now, and the chance of it returning home is nill. :(

Actually - I didn't sell it, my old man did. It was my first project and he never like it or me spending so much time on it. I was still a teenager when I built it in 1986 - it was sold in 88

Not really HAMB material as far as paint and wheels go - but . . . it was what I thought looked good as a kid.

Raced a few times at Seattle International Raceway and managed getting into the high 13's - it was a blast to drive.

Well nowhere near icon status, but sold a 63 1/2 Merc Comet 2dr Hardtop (kinda fastback lookin) with factory 260 v8 auto, pwr steering...all there, a Cut-down Sportsman (Central Calif style) that was built in the mid 60's and was State Champ...it was all there too, and a 56 Chevy 1 1/2 ton that I was turning into a car hauler when we moved to Nevada.

  11. Sold it to buy my wife's engagement ring. Good investment though. Marriage is not a word it's a sentence. Maried 32 with no time off for good behavior. Wouldn't change a thing except selling the "A".

    67 Mustamg fastback. 302 auto.
It was my first car and a present from my father. I was young and stupid and sold it when the diff went. I didn't know how to fix it and certainly didn't know what I had.

  22. Its not often in life that we get to rectify our mistakes Danny. Glad this one has been taken care of.:D
Turns out my house was worth more than I thought so the car was less expensive than I had anticipated.
She told me to tell you she is glad to be back home again.

  23. I miss her but I'm sure the car is happier back home with you,,I know you are! :D HRP

  25. Just one. The '70 Gran Prix my dad bought new that I drove in high school. 400, Hurst shifted 4-speed (one of 327 manual trans Gran Prixs that year), 3.55 posi. No vinyl top, which was also not that common on those. He got mad and sold it for $750 about 1991.

The three I think about the most are my 57 Chevy PU, 64 El Camino and a 66 All original Mustang Fastback that was in perfect condition.

1968 Dodge Charger, 383 4-speed car. It was all there, ran great, near mint body, except that somebody had stripped the dash pad off it. Anyway, I got all moon-eyed for a 67 GTO and let her go for less than she was worth, and a fraction of what she'd be worth today. Ended up pissing away the GTO too...
