bolloxed up my back on Sunday picking up Kona the tub of lard so I'm p***ing this week 1st wed I've missed . We ate under the canopy for the experience of doing it then moved on , normally park anywhere I can in either my Roadster or Carol's Fordoor , I did get killer parking for Doug's 5 window last week , not in a carhop spot.Ate inside & had a good night.

Wow, that brings back memories. I used to get that all the time at the Bob's in Huntington Beach back in the '70's when I was a kid.

Last night was a blast, hanngin around and shooting the ****. Our car hop was the best. She put up with all of our **** with a smile. Our group had about a dozen people in it and she handled us all with ease. Plus we had to force our tip on her, she actually thought it was too much. She deserved every red cent of it ! ! !

I have to appologize because I haven't met you in person, but I think I may have seen you walk by and I thought you looked familiar and it dawned on me that you were at the HAMB BBQ. Next time I will introduce myself.

Seems strange that there were several HAMBers there last night but I didn't realize it because Denise wasn't here to make us HAMB name tags.:D

Jesse and Sandra invade the Broiler! We just were a 3rd stop on WCC's version of a Anti Love-Reliability Run Type. Jim was more than a lil stoked as were Karen and Lindsey.
Thanx 4 making the Broiler a part of your ride.

Wednesday was cool, talked to a couple all the way down from Sonoma in their hot rod truck. Good turnout of all kinds of cars, really enjoyed the evening. Ordered my food and got really good service! Took off at 7:30 to do the Van Nuys Blvd. cruise which had a big turnout also.

News on the Bob's Big Boy that is being built in Pasadena. The owners of the Toluca Lake Bob's are planning to build a Bob's on the site of their former Baja Fresh outlet. Plans are in the works to convert the 3,600 sq. ft. Baja Fresh at 899 E. Del Mar Bl. to a diner that would "mirror the retro look of the 1949 Bob’s in Burbank."

Just a historical perspective: In the sixties, it was a great honor to park on the front row at Harvey's. You ate your food and moved along. Perhaps lawn chairs were already invented, but they weren't part of the car scene. After you finish your grub, move it on down the line. Let the car hops make some money. Let some other cars park under the canopy. That's how it really was. That's how it should be. See ya tonight.
