Starting next summer, from mid-May till probably the Moon-Eyes Christmas event, I plan on attending quite a few traditional styled hot rod and custom events in SoCal in Big Olds. I'd like to make it to a traditional styled "Bomb" event or two during this time frame and perhaps a "Lowrider" event but I don't know which ones are good ones. I've never been to either type of event before. Would Big Olds be "accepted" at these type of events or would it be like someone with billet wheels trying to get into HCPU? What are few not to be missed ones, lets say 100 miles or less from Long Beach? Locations and dates would help out alot in my planning. Thanks in advance.
Hey I go to Lowrider Shows all the time, went to one this weekend in San Diego, Big Olds would be welcomed, I am in a Lowrider club with my 60 Chevy! check out www.layitlow.com and when you get our here we can roll together with my club!
Every Friday night at Sako's sandwich shop in Sante Fe Spring they have a LoLo cruise night. I used to have fun there in my Impala.

Great minds think alike. I did actually post a thread there first, I'm am member, but no one seemed to have exact dates for events for 2010 or really any "must do" ones that I shouldn't miss. Big Olds and I would be honored to roll with you and your club. I'll check out the club site for sure and make some mental notes. If you can think of one of two events in the time frame Big Olds is going to be out there please let me know. I'll see you at the GNRS and we can discuss then finalize at Santa Maria which I plan on attending with Big Olds. Will have to check it out. Thanks for the info. Guess I got to get my car rolling for next year to cruise with you. Haven't been into the lowrider scene for a few years, not sure whats around anymore. Gotta be a big show in LA sometime during the year.

The Pomona automotive swap meet is a great place to see large numbers of "Bombs", parked up against the back of the drag strip grandstands." Good luck, Thomas Luce
Denise, I posted the same question a couple months ago on Chevy Bombs. I didn't really get the feedback I was looking for either, but I was told the Lowrider Nationals in Bakersfield sometime around July or August would be a good show.

People there are tons of Lowrider Shows in SO-Cal I go to one every weekend, from 50 cars to 200, check out www.layitlow.com under events! If any of you want to check out the best show of the year it put on by the Majestics at Hollywood Park, New Years day...last year there were about 500 cars best show by far!!!!! Seriously every Friday night in the Mc Donalds praking lot at the corner of Euclid and Garden Grove Blvd, tons of Lowriders.....I try to go every Friday!!!! No worries Denise you will be busy!!
in san diego, chicano park does a couple good ones a year, next month is J and V's christmas party which is also a good show

There are plenty of good Lowrider/Bomb shows... in California - Bombs United (San Jose CA) - I think it's usually around April (right after The Lone Star) and it's an all bomb show... some great cars - Chicano Park Day (San Diego, CA) - April 24 Really good show.. Lots of great cars in an awesome location These 2 are off the top off my head... I'll post more when I get a chance. -Juan

What do you think about that "Traffic" one that's the first Saturday in Nov?? Perhaps I can pick your brain during the Lonestar RoundUp weekend in Austin.
During the cruising season (thats damn near year round here) in the summer though, there's almost something going on every weekend. all the Bomba clubs gather at all the Parks for BBq's and meetings too. Oh yeah, any show at Elysian Park is always a have to, never now who might show up
