Howdy All, Been lurk'n for a while and thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Craig and I'm from Austin (Yup, another Texan). I've been a motorcycle guy for years but I'm itch'n to get a car project going. Don't have one yet but I'm close to buying my buddy's 58 Apache so hopefully soon... Since I don't have have a car yet to post pictures of, thought I'd show you another of my recent projects ya'll might get a kick out of. No way was I gonna let my little niece's first set of wheels be an import. No sir, only vintage American steel would do. Here's her 1947 steel craft wagon - restored and road ready and being in fireball metal flake and gold leaf, she's the coolest kid on the block hands down! I'm sure I'll have some technical questions soon. Thanks, Craig
Welcome, this is the place for Hotrods and Customs. Your work on the buggy is killer. Stop by early and often. Joel
Nice wagon dude. I love the Celtic knotwork with the gold leaf. Welcome to yet another Texan, Big Daddy Eric
It's House of Kolor F65 "mini-fireball". It's quite a bit small than your standard b***-boat flake. I have a dry application gun I use for the bigger stuff.
Excellent, if you treat that truck like you did that wagon it'll be killer. Bring it to the round-up so I can take a look.
How are there some many guys in Austin that I don't know. I must need to get out more. Welcome to the HAMB.
...........I'll start the bidding at $100.00.............. ..............oops.......sorry. I just went back and re-read it and it's not an auction. (just kidding) Awesone wagon and nice intro. Welcome!
The gold looks like an "engine turned" effect. Am I seeing that right? Or is it just laid on? Very nice anyway you look at it.
Craig, where is your shop in Hutto? Some friends and I have a shop off of McNutt Dr. across from Cl***ic Street.
Hey Hell Fish, I'm just a couple of blocks down from you on Tradesmen Drive. I got a day gig in Round Rock but I'll be back at my shop this afternoon. PM me with your contact info and I'll stop by and say hi. C
Welcome Craig, nice intro, super job on the wagon, it should ring the bell in any neighborhood!!!! Fred
Welcome. I live in Round Rock and work in Austin, kinda oposite of your route. Nice pix and artwork...I might be calling ya in 6 months to paint a 55 pontiac.....Dia De Los Muertos style....
