I posted this along with the update on Luthers accident but thought this might make some of us re-thing seat belt,,,Ken and his ex-wife were wearing them and they were able to walk away from the wreck.

Ken is one of our other members, a transplant from Florida and a past NSRA state inspector told the story of his accident in a 32 Ford 4 door sedan and he was lucky enough to walk away from the wreck with only minor cuts and s****es,,he said he would E-mail the photos when he got home.

The story was relayed to me that he was driving at night on a road he was unfamilur with and a posted speed limit of 35 MPH,,he said he was doing in excess of 55 MPH started around a curve and thinks he ran over something in the road and cut the tire,,

Driving too fast and oversteering he ran off the shoulder of the road and fliped the car twice and hit a tree.

I just recieved them and can hardly believe he was able to walk away from this mangled mess!:eek::eek:

Some of you Florida guys might remember Ken,,he built another 32 Ford 4 door and painted it just like the one he distroyed several years ago.

Ken dis-located is left shoulder and his ex-wife broke her wrist,,,he says the both had minor cuts and scratches and a bunch of black and blue marks.

Again,,it speaks volumes for the use of seat belts. HRP

more proof to disprove that fake accident with the new car they have posted on youtube.

  13. Glad he's ok, but I think there should be a law that if you destroy a '32 Ford you should never be able to own another one.

I'm sure he's suffered enough with it being destroyed as it is.

    Yes I would sign it ... :)

BUT ... I know Ken and he is a good guy ... and goes to a good many of the same events I go.

He does regret the wreck

Very glad to read they are both okay but jeeze... 55mph in a posted 35mph zone, in the dark, on a road he doesn't know? Was he still dizzy from wrecking his other 32?

Out of curiosity. Did he just have lap belts or were there shoulder belts in there also?

The 4 door belonged to Ken,,this accident was several years ago,,I just got the photos today.

Luther is the guy who wrecked the roadster this past Sunday and is at home,,he will be ok in a few weeks.

We all make stupid mistakes and Ken admitted that it was his,,

and again this was a while ago,,
The roadster accident was Sunday and that car belonged to Luther.,,both guys are in the same club.

The car was too far gone,,so it wasn't rebuilt.

    No,,just lap belts.

You can say that again,,,Ken firmly believes that!

It's all in how you hit/are hit, how fast, angle of approach, deceleration g-forces, thrown from vehicle or not...so many variables that NO crash test can accurately simulate how a person in a vehicle will end up.

I know a guy that was killed in an accident in a parking lot. He was driving less than ten miles per hour! Figure that one.
