A friend had an open house today in Glendale, AZ. This is his recreation of Valley Speed Center. Lots and lots of cool stuff, all real, no repo parts. Enjoy!
That's great stuff but damn-it if it aint for sale, cuz it honestly needs to be bolted on to some rides soon to hit the streets, not in some damn museum! JMO
That's what I figured.. I didn't see the fuzzy dust stuff that hangs off anything that quits moving for more than 2 days in my shop.. grinding, welding, sanding etc take their toll on everything in the shop..
Man, what a way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Lotsa nice folks there, two '60s era top fuel dragsters, lotsa cool cars parked out front on the street and a beautiful, sunny afternoon. Keith's shop is just plain amazing. Every time I walked through there I saw something totally *****in' that I missed before. My thanks to Keith for sharing his shop and to the two dragster crews for bringing out their machines. Very cool stuff.
WOW!!!! A nice place to call home. Even nicer that it's shared with others. I don't get the comment that all of that stuff should be on cars and not displayed. Try telling that to Bill Smith and see what reply you get. Frank
so....this is part of someones house? I am confused........ or is it a shop that someone has to work on his cars and his friends cars - and not really open for business.................... please enlighten the silly boy in IA does anyone know of any cool places like this in IA or IL?
It is not a business, it his personal shop located behind his house and set up like an old speed shop. Valley Speed Center was the name of a local speed shop here in Phx. that ran a dragster back in the '60s, Keith has a connection with that place and uses the name.
If its his stuff and he wants to museum out and invite folks over and have a good time, *****EN!! Nice day I'll bet.
