Well after much deliberation I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of the flatty, so I'm just gonna freshen her up and probably paint the engine compartment, bodywork and so on. So I do have a 1966 327 I'm gonna be selling as soon as I get the ad up. Here's the pic's of destruction (Uh I mean engine removal) Got her torn out yesterday.
i would rather have the Flatty any day over a Generic Motors or is that Government Motors 350 im glad you are keeping the Ford power
(BlueOval) - Some guys make such a big deal about Flathead vs SBC. Let's face it they're both great engines and either one would have been a good choice. Both the Flathead and the SBC Chevy are traditional engines for early custom cars. CRUISER
x2 both good chioces nothing pretty then a dress up flatty or the dependable sbc and from the pictures your flatty looks pretty
Build a hot rod around the flathead and put somethin under the HOOD of the car. The motor aint gona show any-who. For a custom You could have midgets shoveling **** into a boiler under the hood and no one would be the wiser, as long as the out side looks great. just look at John Deagastino(sp?) and those guys, they don't even clean the engine compartment.
