So, is the Big Poppa fotki page yours? I'd love to see more of those anytime! Actually i suspect prettymuch anybody would love to see more of them pics! I dare ask you at this point: what about the vega panel that was around at that time, it seems that i cant find any info about it. Do you have any pics or leads to a feat in lowrider mag? or of any other mid size car that got the lowrider tratment really.....until now i got no reply at all. Thanx a ton! Oh and also thanx for the info on the poncho, i'll see what i come up w/ 1st thing nxt week! Have a great weekend everyone!
I like the mid-late 60's Fords. I remember my Dad had a '68 Meteor (a Canadian Mercury) Redeau 500 2-door fastback. I wish I had it now. It would make a lowrider/mild custom.
Awesome info. My ol man was a good friend of Denvers He helped with the vinyl top and said it took them three tries to finally get it to lay correctly. If someone could post up a color pic of the Riv that would be awesome. It was a shame when Denver passed away he was a real good guy.
OK, now im surprised! I was quite sure that air cyl.s where new stuff, this here questions all i know....not really just kiddin, but i'd like to know more, and if you could also explain how they exactly work and have pics it would be great. Y'know, im leanin towards bags for my project, but i wouldnt mind being able to suck up a wheel w/out having a trunk fulla batteries!!! It just lloked too weird and never tried to understand it better, but because im being very period specific if you say that air cyls where around in 1970 that would kill it! Hope you'll see this!
Any of you guys in the I.E. remember Hutches body shop in Fontana? My pops is always talking about hangin there or with Denver.
My 68 and my 58 with Tony's 65 in front of my Mom's house. I made a decent profit when I sold the 58 for $200
^^^ Used to work in the street until less than a year ago!^^^ I mean, always had a garage, but never big enuff to keep the car and work on it at the same time!....it sucks, but if you're passionate enuff its no big deal! I swapped front and rear ends in the street as well as full paint jobs and anything in between. I find my self fortunate now that im goin to live in a 2 garage house of which one w/ a second floor for a "lathe shop" and the other 2 cars long! nuff said: Do you still have the bubbletop? Edit: Tonys 65 also looks bitchin! anymore?
Air cylinders are most common in the construction industry, used to open gates on crusher plants, hoppers, etc.... http://www.pneumaticsworld.com/F15518/air_cylinders.html
My 1st car. It ran, but smoked. I paid $20 for it around 1970 (pretty fucking clean, right?). Rebuilt the motor in auto shop for $107. That's right, this hobby DID used to be cheap. Now the shit's just outta control. For some reason I have no pics of when I lowered it.
Dude youre tha man! Until now ive seen a countless numer of cars of yours and all bitchin! The 38 rules also! And i see no reason not to keep that bubbletop for 40 more years! PS So, anybody w/ air cylinders info? I also started a thread on the subjet if anybody is on the know and intrested.
