    A rusty one? :D

Looks like an aftermarket type. Is there anything stamped on it?

with the lack of a paper element my guess would be that it is from a boat.

Looks like a Cal Custom or a Badger.

If the louver count is right and the lid is heavy it is a Pontiac. It should have AC decals inside the lid. The base plate is heavier than any aftermarket piece too.
I have one of these on my Old Roadster carb.
The element is still available from WIX and others. Corvettes actually had sealed throwaway assemblies rather than the lid and baseplate setup like Pontiac had.

Looks like the right height, louver count and shape - so I'd agree as stated earlier with 65-66 Pontiac 4bbl, A-Body cars and the early-mid 60s Corvettes, but not sure on the exact years. Also used on the Pontiac Sprint 6 Cammer in '66.

Ive had a few of those thin Louvered Air cleaners and got those from GTOs that were being converted to Drag cars.... the deeper versions were available from Cal Custom..
