Bob Hegge was an independant photographer who happened to like cars....He shot my T roadster for "Hot Rod" Mag in 1961....
He did sell a lot of his work to Petersens mags....I'm sure he has p***ed away by now....

  3. He was a model railroader/rail journalist of note also.

I remember that he wrote quite a bit in the late '70's/early 80's for Rod Action magazine. I kind of ***ociated him with Tex Smith, but I don't know why...

He p***ed quite a while ago and I heard his nephew had the old negatives, but I don't have any contact info.
When I had the El Matador, I bought a group of black and white 8 by 10 photos of every angle of the car that he had taken in the day. He covered a bunch of stuff for Promotions Inc.
I, too, would like to have contact info.

Hegge was from St. Louis and probably had the one of the largest archives of anyone who shot for the mags in the '50's-70's. Bob Larivee had told me that Robert's nephew in California has the negs, but I was unable locate him when I tried several years ago.

He took pictures of my 55 Chevy at the Ft Wayne Auto show in 59 and 60. I would also like any information leading to the possible purchase of some prints of his negatives.
    Thanks

    Tom,
I too heard this info and that his nephew lived in Pismo Beach.
The Search went cold from there....I could not find a Hegge in that area... which also could mean he has a different last name.
