I think i want to trade my '29 ford 2-door sedan body for a pickup cab and bed. Is this an even trade?

Same year bodies? Same condition? What do you really want?

Depends on the condition of the stuff.

Also if the truck cab and bed is what you really want then to you it should be a fair trade

I know the 28-29 cowl is different than the 30-31. the early ones are similar to the "T" cowl. Now is the time to decide if you want to change. What is the situation with a ***le? If you already have one for a car, what does your state say about changing bodies? Might want to take some pix of the build to do***ent what you're doing before letting the car body get away from you.

If both traders are happy, then it's a good trade.
Happiness has more value than a valued object that doesn't make you happy.
(wow, that sounds straight out of a fortune cookie)

I always try to get the other guy to toss in a case of beer though.

If that is what you want and you don't trade, you will probably regret it.At one time 30 years ago I was going to trade a 32 5W for a 34 pickup. That was what I wanted and would probably be considered dumb to have done it.But he wouldn't trade so I eventually sold the coupe and later bought a 34 pickup. Now I am happy.Get what you really want.Thats my 2 cents...

i just dont want to be taken advantage of. if my car is worth more it gives me more bargaining power.

this is the information i was looking for. if one body style is more desireable by more people, it will make it worth more.
