Get hold of a copy of "Hot Rodding The Buick Nailhead V-8" by Bob Russo. You probably will have to search on Ebay, swap meets, etc., as I believe it's no longer in print. I found mine at a yard sale a few years ago. It's a 64 page soft cover, about the size of the 'little books' from the old days - around 5"x8". Also search around for a series of articles that Rod & Custom magazine did in the May & June, 1999 issuesen***led "Building A Better Buick - Rebuilding A Buick Nailhead" by Jeff Tann. Cl***ic Auto Restorer magazine also had an article "Buick's Nailhead V-8" by Thomas Murphy in the September, 1998 issue.
Do yourself a favor and get the service manual for the car it came out of. Lots of good info in there. And do a search on here for "nailhead" lots of good info. And the yahoo nailhead list is still going strong as it has been for the last 12 years or so.
when the article came out a few from the yahoo nailhead group tried to contact him. he didn't want to hear it.
