Can you identify this car

A friend asked me to identify this car, anyone?

 

36-37 Dodge?

 

37 or 38 chevy???

definately 36 sedan.. the louvers in the hoodisde give it away.

 

37-38 Chevy

 

I'll go with '38 Chevy - louvers are wrong type for either 1936 or 1937.

We have a 38 Chev and without a better picture we go with 38 chev

 

I almost had a heart stoppage when I looked at that picture. We have a picture in the family album that was taken of my mom standing beside my folks' '37 Chevy coupe that's almost identical. The lady could easily be a standin for my mom.....!!!
My wife and I are leaving tomorrow to visit her and if she can find the photo I'll try to scan and post it.

It's a 1936.

+18 or however many for 38 Chevrolet, you can see the 37-38 reveal at the bottom of the hood.

 

Unmistakably a '38. Compare the hood with this one, which is also a '38:

 

NOT a '36- they didn't have the ridge between the front fender and hood like the '37 and '38 did (and like the one in the pic has)!

 

I'm gunna go out on a limb and say.........38 chevy.
