Put it up for sale, make a couple of bucks and don't look back. The more you put in the less you are going to make. Have a merry x m***
Guys used to do that with 32-33-34' too....when you could drive em home Cheap. Dont forget tri-5 Chevs, too!!
It is rusty. The front fenders, running boards, inner cab corners, lower box sides and rear fenders all havve rust. The floor and cowl is decent though. It's nothing that cannot be fixed, it's all pretty typical stuff. The truck is from Kansas, kinnd wierd to be so rusty. Other then that it's super strait and very complete. I have all the missing stainless, just missing the front bumper.
it's a dandy...all that stuff on the cab is odd to me on a F1. ah do the basics for driving safely and sell it. i just cant take that fulton on it though. sell it to me. nice truck you sure come across some good stuff.
That looks like a pretty damn nice truck. I'd scrub it down real good and get the moss/mold/tree **** off of it, get it running and drivable, then flip it. I say this because I'm not a Ford guy to speak of. If that were a Chevy or a Dodge, I'd probably end up keeping it!
That's a nice honest old truck. My problem though is that I'd get it running, fall in love with it and not wanna sell. You shouldn't have no trouble finding a new owner for it.
Here's another vote for fix it up and drive it or sell it to somebody who will. That truck is way too solid to part out.

Welp, got it hot wired and poured a little gas in it, but no fire. Pulled the plugs and found that all but one hole has stuck valves. So I pulled a head, and the valves are really stuck...can't get em burped back down and I don't wanna chance bending them. So, out it will come. I have it all unbolted, was getting ready to hoist it out but it started getting pretty dark. The side that I pulled the head off of looked really nice inside, so hopefully I can get the other head and intake off and get the valves free. I also didn't notice until tonight that it has 8CM heads on it....Mercury. If it has a Merc crank it won't be going back in. I may keep the engine and ****** and try to sell the whole truck as a roller. That way I can keep the stuff I kinnda need and sell off the ***led truck for 800.00-1000.00 or something. I'll know more when I see what the rest of the engine looks like

In my deffence Bob, I pushed that thing off the trailer and took off for the weekend. Got back and fiddled with it today. But yes, it took me about 4 times looking under the hood to figure it out See you Saturday!!!!

Pulled the engine out today and burped the other head and intake off. Everything looks pretty nice inside, so I can work on freeing the valves, clean the lifter valley (pretty gunky) and slap it back together!
Funny, about 4 months ago I was like "**** I am moving to Spokane!!!". Now looking what's going on I am like "**** Washington, it's cold!!!". I'm from Buffalo, NY so I am familiar with cold. It was 82º here yesterday and sunny! As for the truck, I think that if you put your touch on this thing and get it going that you'll make your money and then some. You do have a horse shoe up your as you know.........except for that losing your job thingy.
Cool truck, we've got a '49 F1 we're overhauling the engine in for a customer, same color, same rust... Any pics of that cigar/ashtray deal? looks kinda nifty!
Chris, I would like to see someone in western Washinton buy it & use it in the East vs West flathead challenge! I like the irony of that.
The ashtray is a Kaiser part. They went on the back of the front bench seat for the rear p***engers, not sure what years though. If you want one call Kaiser Larry 602-373-1456. I have one that I was going to use as a switchbox but plans changed.
Yeah, i tried to flip a truck once. 1960 F-100. Then I decided to fix it up a little, put a 460/C6 in it. Had the frame notched and front axle flipped. It is looking too cool now, it's gonna be hard to sell it. But I got to.
I know were are is two like yours, not as nice of shape though. I don't know my F-1 years very well, is yours a '49?
Drive it as fast as it will go on a deserted highway. Edge over to the right until all four wheels are off the asphalt and on the gravel. At this time, turn to the left as quick as you can without hesitation. That should flip it just fine. You may want to have a brain bucket on.....
