I had this coupe body all summer and had contimplated selling it but kept wanting to build it, so i hunkered down and started work on it, from these pics you get the idea of where im going with it. 327/4 speed, hurst motor mount, side mount bellhousing, chrome OE wheels, blackwalls, slicks, full fendered, unchopped, yellow lexon windows, black diamond (with yellow stitching) runniing board covers and top instert and interior etc etc. just basically mocking it all up at the moment, the body is rust free perfect, one of the nicest ive ever seen owned, the fenders a bit rough but i have a line on some good rears. id like to put a crossram on the motor, i think itd fit the style perfectly.

You got it just about right. I don't think I would chop it. It looks pretty good right now. If you are determined to chop it I wouldn't do any more than 2 inches.

You will probably have this one going in a couple of weeks. Think of all the time you saved rebuilding the body!

No chop. IMO that really messes up the proportions and it seems to be even more noticeable on a raised car.

yep, never was planning on chopping it, dunno where that came from.

thats the problem that i see alot, people will build a gasser, but its not exactly correct, so im trying keep it correct.

i put her for sale in the class adds a week or two ago, i dont want to sell it, id rather get it running and driving, so well see how it goes, im still working on it in the meantime anyways, got the shifter installed, took out the stock seat riser, took out the stock floor pan under the seat and made a new flat one, also made the front floor pan panel, made a flat firewall and put it in, mounted the f1 steering box, made a column drop out of an old connecting rod, modified the stock dash and drilled a few holes for gauges.

a buddy said i could blast it over it his house so im trying to get all the metal work done, floors and fab work, it dont need really any patching, i dont know what to do, no patch work! im sure i may suface a few pinholes in the quarters when i blast it but ill leave em alone. I started striping the paint off all the flat areas of the body so ill just have to blast the seems and jams and floors, then i les chance of warping it!

so tomorrow im going to finish up the front floors and distributor tunnel, mount the ansen pedals and gm master to the firewall and unbolt the body and pull it off and get ready to get sandy.

and i might have procured a cross ram for the project.

the more i think about the car the more i want to keep it!

    well see what happens!

    heres some pics

Looks good Titus, it is nice to see you are building the car period correct gasser WITH FENDERS. I hate to see a fenderless coupes with B/G painted on the quarter!!

got a bit more done, front floors finished, dist cove done, ansen pedals mounted with chev truck master cylinder, and got a set of vetter headers (which i think are the same as speedway's 28-34 ford chassis headers) and modified the right one to fit the f1 steering box, now i have to hang the header in place, mount the steering box then put the motor in! i feel like a mopar guy! (drag link thru the headers) i didnt have to touch the right header. I just had to move 2 tubes on the left header

some new pics of it, got some more parts collected, havent been able to do much on it lately with too many other projects, so either im gonna sell it or get her done. i have all the stuff to finish it with except the radiator and a few other small bits, so well see what happens. if i do end up finishing it im gonna shot for the motorama that Tuck is putting on.
