  1. I can appreciate that the heading "ELECTRIC CAR" is a major turn off but... there's a cat in Oregon that's loaded an old school Datsun with batteries and smokes EVERYTHING at the track. UNBELIEVABLE. In that vein, I NEED HELP to embark upon a build. A lightweight sports car stylistically mimicking an XKSS, Cheetah, Golden Submarine Rebuild, Speedster rolled into one, powered by Lithium batteries. Adventurous but a "COOL GREEN RIDE". Is there anyone willing to help??

If you're serious, please don't use any of the cars you mentioned.

As to your question for help. NO.

I think i speak for the majority.

Go for it, build it!!! Wrong forum though to work your idea out. Not too many pre-1964 lithium batteries avaliable....

I keep waiting for someone to put an electric motor on top of a Northstar or Toronado drive train, tuck in under the back of a A Coupe, put a resin display block up front and tart it all up with chrome parts. Drive it around Back To The 50's and you'll have 20 grown men crawling up the street behind you trying to figure out how you did it.
