As of right now this is all i could find.
This was at the Lancaster NY Nostalgia drags a few years back. He drove the car there with the 4:88's..about an hour or so away.
I should add, his car was actually a BelAir, not a Biscayne..but, they both look equally killer in the grocery getter look..

Tony: That white Belair is *****ing. I like it a lot. Grocery getter white.

Kopperkart: So if I go racing, you got the tow rig for me. Did you know I was a ****er for tow rigs that fit the car being towed. Nice wagon for sure. Here is a pic of what I am talking about.

Man they cant all be red or black! I know it looks good but the factory did make other colors and I would definetely do a stock color with stock interior.....Red or black.. its so overdone now...seems everyone I see is one of these colors and when I see a red/red 62 all that comes to mind is "thats a cloned car".. We had a 62 Bel Air 409 car and it was fawn beige over a stock beige/gold interior...man I loved that car! It was not black or red and it was a real car...Keep it stock height or up in the nose a bit..no funky hood scoops... and steel rims with or without dog dish caps....some bias ply tires and cheater slicks on rear..skinny cheater slicks..fenderwell headers:D 300 hp smallblock with a 4 speed is pretty cool and less h***le!
    Now I want a 62 Chevy!!!!

Super Stock or the sleeper style too many" in the weeds "look. OR, and I hate to use this term Pro Touring. You have a good engine .Put a 6 speed manual ,tubular control arms, with some big brakes etc.Do something you really haven't seen much of in that body style.I know this is '62 stuff but here is a pic of my '64 Belair done sleeper/ stocker style.

  11. I'm with Tony on this one. Put 409 rocker cover tags on the W and I won't tell a soul.

Gloss black exterior, red factory stock vinyl interior, radio delete, stock steel wheels, small stock Chevrolet hub caps, stock height, exhaust cut-outs, and a huge smile on your face when you are driving it!

I used to borrow tools from a guy who had a gold '63 Biscayne that had a LS6 crank in the 409 block (468?). I always thought it would be a cool car to have.

A lot of nice cars in this thread. DenverDave's car is bad ***. One just like his but in white would very cool. I'm pretty fond of black though.;)

WOW!!! That is real nice for sure. I like the look a lot. It is sitting real nice and I like the tire size combination.

I did over a 71 Corvette for a friend last year and used a 17" ZR1 style wheel and just that little difference in wheel size made all the difference in the world on the look of the car. I am thinking about a 17" wide painted steel wheel might look *****ing; a subtle but dramatic difference.

There have been so many suggestions I am getting more torn every day. This is really great.

    Many thanks,
    Joe

One of the nicest ones I ever saw, was on this site just recently. It was in one of the "X-frame Chevy" -threads, an arrow-straight, gloss black one w/a stock, red vinyl interior and all the factory trim and brightwork in place.
Had a set of black steelies, w/the small-diameter, base-level hubcaps, and black-wall low-profile rubber. The rear tires slightly wider than the front ones.
Pretty simple and totally clean-looking, nothing to distract Your eye, just a straight, clean, cherry-looking old, base-level car, really, but at the same time its stance really made it look like it was speeding away from You at full-blast. That and the fact You just can´t go wrong w/gloss black with red guts. As an owner of two black full-size cars I know it´s a laborous color to keep clean, but definitely well worth the work on the right car.
Have You looked into any of the stroker -kits they make for the "W" -motors BTW? Combining the large-bore "W" blocks w/the long-stroke "Mark IV" (396-454) offset-ground crankshafts by way of custom pistons and wrist pins.
Anyway, from what I gather they seem to afford some fairly impressive displacements out of these engine blocks.

Unfortunately the 62 Biscayne project is now in long term storage and on hold for now. I decided to finally finish my 67 GTO that has been in-process for 23 years. On top of that I just started on a 36 Ford 5-window coupe that will be a present to my wife (someday). Way too many toys and way too many projects to fit the 62 into the mix of things.

I think the 62 will eventually end up simple and ultra clean. Black is my favorite color but I am also toying with white or turquoise. I have the ch***is and drive train already done and the body work is easy since it was a New Mexico car. It has one real tiny spot on one of the rockers needing a patch. I would pick at it but I just don't have the shop space to fit it, or its parts, in here.

With the current projects and money drain, maybe I should just put it in the Cl***ified section. Thou, I hate to depart with anything.
