I am stunned. I mean absoultely stunned at the kindness of people.

Ed Gromer (SOTA here on the HAMB) is a friend that I met for the very first time at the Goodguys Charlotte event a few weeks ago. Ed, drove from Ohio just to see the Thimble Drome Special. He stayed about an hour with us, and then left to return home in Ohio, saying; he had seen what he came for! Amazing!

Me and Ed have spoke on the phone several times since then and we rapidly became friends. Moments ago, I got a call from him expressing his shock over my wife Susan's passing. After a lengthy conversation about life and what's important etc. etc., he states that he has got to go and then says he'll see me in about 8 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to discourage him from making such a drive, but he would have no part of it. I can not express my gratitude to Ed, a person who can exhibit such care for a person that he only recently met just blows my mind!

If you want to know what level of caring and kindness another human being can achieve you need only to look at Ed Gromer. God bless you Ed!

 

Hang in there and keeping turning your thoughts to the good times you had. I just went through this, and the pain does not go away...just don't let it drown out the good times together. God bless.
