1940 chev truck project

Hey fellow hot rodders, i have recently acquired an 1940 chev truck project and have a question on what some people have used for the front clip in past projects. I have talked to a few fellow hot rodders in my area and local body shops and have learned that they now use the front clip out of a 1997 aero star van. If anyone has done a simalar project feel free to post comments, might help me out a little bit
