I keep doing research for this new project, and I always end up on this forum, whatever I'm trying to figure out, so I guess I have to join it. I just bought an all original 1939 Ford Tudor. Rusty. Hasn't run in probably decades. I asked my dad what he wanted for the non-numbers-matching 350 he pulled out of his 73 Corvette, and he replied, "merry christmas." I think I'll keep the wide-five wheels, the front suspension, and the patina...That engine would eat everything I attach to it that's on the car now though - anyone want a 3 speed topoader, torque tube, and banjo rear end? I'm looking into a Getrag 5 speed. Maybe a 91-94 Ford Exploder rear end. My budget is basically nothing (as it should be, right?). I just sold the 65 Impala SS I said I'd never sell, and this thing's coming from a fraction of that money, which wasn't actually all that much...
Welcome from Central M***. You've come to the right place for help with your project. Lots of knowledgeable people on here. I'm not one of them, Haha
Thanks all. So, Chop Shop guy, do you know John Patterson in Burlington? He's my uncle, and is into building somewhat similar stuff... motorcycles, a nice 68 Nova with a 383... Both my parents are from Burlington M***, but I grew up in Maine.
440 Shawn, or anyone who knows Illinois: my car is stuck in Yates City, or Douglas actually... anyone know where that is, or have any ideas on a deadbeat-seller problem?
