kirban 2 cents worth I have been made aware of this site from several people and now figured I would join as I bring to the table a lot of information that will bring memories back for those of you that remember the 1950s and 1960s time frame. My name may sound familar to some. A**** Hurst collectors I am known for having probably the rarest Hurst collection. Not only do I have a lot of the original art work for the decals and magazine ads, but many shifter knobs, prototypes, Hemi Under Gl*** model that sat on Georges desk, banner Linda Vaughn wore, the orignal artwork for the Hurst wheel etc and so on. I will start to share some of these stories and throw some questions out there under a new thread later this weekend. I am also fortunate to currently being connected in one aspect of a business where Don Garlits is our spokesperson. denniskirban@yahoo.com In its heyday Hurst was the benchmark for shifters.
Welcome aboard, Dennis. You will be amazed at how many people on here remember the 50's and 60's....and what we don't remember we make up as we go! Looking forward to your posts. Eddy in Dallas
