  1. I have seen and tried to fix some of this inspired ingenuity over my life and seen some pretty good ideas and some really bad ideas. Unfortunately peoples inspiration is usually provided by Jim Beam or Jack Daniels.

You can put the door from a Pinto hatchback on a Pinto wagon but you'll end up with a gap at the back where the hatchback door slants down. Simply cut a piece of truck mudflap and sheetmetal screw into place. Paint the door black and you'll never see the mudflap twenty feet away. I wish I didn't know that, and no, I don't have pictures because I couldn't afford a camera or the film to go in it, much less the right door for the car:D

I'm interested in seeing how it's put together.
Please post some pix when you get a chance, and thanks for contributing.

Years ago while touring in a slant-equipped 80's dodge van, the block casting that mounts the alternator cracked allowing the belt to slip right off. Being stranded in the middle of nowhere in the dark, I jammed a piece of an old drumstick between the block and alternator to keep tension on the belt. It held up for two more weeks of touring!!:D

Why is it that we have 3 pages of (somewhat) funny ****, and STILL don't have any pictures from the OP?
