Hey Wayne, Out of all the pictures you could find of your car how did you come up with one with me in the background? Haha That car is soo not gay but I'll add a pink smiley face for the no bag guys.
When it comes to traditional I love sensibly lowered kustoms, and certainly don't have a problem with bags(kool research by the way),but I don't understand the need to 'lay frame' or 'put it on ground' or 'in the weeds'.Not trying to start anything, but to me ,zero ground clearance doesn't look trad, just brokeKool Chevy anyhoo Paul
had a puckup with lowering spring and dropped spindles and it rode like shit , every time u hit a bump it would bottom out . bagged it and it rides anywhere bob
thats what i did im setup that if i ever pop a bag i will be in a safe zone to get home my gas tank will have 2" clearance i like the slam speacialties bags they have bump stops built into the bag i think when im ready to order new ones that what im looking for unless they all have bump stops built in i want to ride slammed no air sometimes (we have smooth roads here in some areas )
It's not so much laying frame that appeals to me,but more of the fact that I can cruise low and not worry about if I can clear a speed bump or a dip in the road, because clearance is only a flip of a switch away
Yeah, I read this. I'm very impressed, and if I could go back in time, I would have definately not said bags were gay. In fact, I ordered airbags, 4-links, and MII frontends for everything I own, you guys inspired me very much. Not only that, but there were three different programs on television this weekend showing step by step how to install my bags when I get them. So I'm good there. Thanks everybody for setting me straight. I don't know how I've made it out of my driveway, through dips, or over bumps the last twelve years without them.
I put bags in mine just so I could park it with one tire in the air and aggrevate the neighbors. I have one neighbor that tells me all the time something is wrong with my car i dont think she understands I control it she calls and says the car has one wheel off the ground again. Of course I play and tell her I dont understand how it keeps doin it. it amuses me. but seriously I like the ride the control and the handling and getting it low. rock on with what ever you like bags or blocks.
