So about a year ago I built this 54 chevy to tote my daughter around. Wife complained about the air ride, wouldn't let my daughter ride in it, so I sold it. Now my daughter is a bit older and loves cars, wife wanted me to get something to tote her around in, so I sold my 32 and bought it back. Things we do for our kids. Shaved the door handles, fenched headlights, shaved drip rail, removed all badges except trunk script, outside of that it's pretty much stock.
Sounds like your wife was an idiot!? WTF? Did you tell her all those tractor/trailors p***ing her on the freeway had airbags?
Do you know the guys buddy or maybe brother by the name of Steve that has the gray '51 chev? They were together at this years KKoa at Mason Dixon speedway...........................................Bobbyd
I may be a little bias here but the 54 is awesome...Is the visor an original or one of the newer pops. Been toying with puttin one on mine and now that i've seen yours its a must.
got any pics of the shaved drip rail been thinking of doing this to my car. i love that cooler combo. also pics of the inside?
Very nice. I know some people get their noses out of joint when it comes to visors on a custom but I think it fits fine. Sweet ride!!!
You'll regret it, especially if you live in an area with lots of rain...the drip rails prevent rain from running off the roof into an slightly open window, when you need the open window to remove condensation from the inside or it's simply too warm to have themclosed completely. Personally, I don't think removing the drip rails adds to the look of any car, it detracts, however, it's your car and I can only offer experience. R-
very cool... I've been thinking about how to "french" the taillights and style be able to get the lenses out to change bulbs and such - they look good just painted body color-
