Car frame was previously cut up but I did take it as well we even looked all over for any other parts we could find' without any success
My father-in-law would have just crushed it with his front end loader and grumbled something about it being a rusty piece of crap. You're a lucky guy to have a helpful father-in-law.
He did mention it was a rusty piece of crap, but he knows if I set out to build it than I will . It's nice to have support in my interests. His mother told him the car was parked in that spot in 1950 I'm surprised and happy it was still there!
What part of NEB you from? I grew up there. Good find! Not 1 but 2 trees. I've taken many out from trees, but usually just 1 I know a guy who has a nice chevy pickup (mid 30's) in his DRIVEWAY that has a 6 inch tree growing up between the motor and frame.

No doubt-Must be birds eating seeds then hanging out in their "new nest" shitting said seeds out. I know that's why I got weird ass trees growing where they shouldn't be. Don't know which to compliment on-the nice find, or dad-in-law. That's real cool. How 'bout both!! Congrats.
starting with the roots of hot rodding and then shade tree mechanics.. a rare twin trunk sedan with natural wood dash and now back to the garage.. huh you cut the car!!! should have just lifted it over the top..... come to think of it lucky that thing wasn't more growed into it and found a few feet further up into the limbs and branches.. or that the tree did not splice with the original wooden roof cross bows. huh? it agrees with modern green ways a true old tree huggin car! ya better park next to that tree for pictures when ya get it goin..

Rob, it would have been different if the frame had been intact. So when we say big tree, you say no problem!

I can't believe that car lasted that long ...it looks to be in good shape for that tree to be that big.
The tree was about 70 ft straigt up cutting the tree would have destroyed the car there was also limited access to get to the car so we cut the rocker which need repair anyway and cut the braces above the doors very easy repairs once done you'll never see the frame was allready hacked up so after cutting the little tree in front it came right out
Rob, I will keep that in mind next time, the saw we had cut one tree and quit we had to use the sawzall on the one in front of the car!
