well i have had the car over a year now and being un employed it has been tuff building the car had it for sale a few times to try to pay bills but noone is lookin for a shoe so i got back to building it and well i still did not pay my bills....lol guess thats where the love of this whole hot rod thing comes into play...lol started with a 50 from colorado it was an ex police supervisors car only reason knoing such is i still have all the paper work on the car from back then. it has a spotlight thats factory and matches the grill center piece and its a 2 dr. so i did not think it had anything to do with the whole police thing cause its a 2 door but all my paperwork says diffrent... anyways back to the car. it had the original flatty in it and 3 speed trans but they were pulled. i did not have anything to go in place of the flatty at the time but i completly rebuilt the front end including the steering box. replaced the drums with disc brakes and 2 in dropped spindels. also pulled the stock springs and replaced with bags =) from there i moved to the rear of the car pulled the rearend apart and rebuilt with 4.10 gears new brake parts monster c notch and triple convoluted bags and a triangular 4 link. the trunk floor was pretty rusty so i cut it all out and made room for a 25 gal. tank anyways. at this point in the build it went outside for a few months till my brother wrecked his car 1991 mustang. i know yuk... usless car anyways. so i pulled the engine and trans 5.0 fuel injected and an aod. rebuilt the aod and the 302 to start sliding it between the rails. (i know fuel injected is not traditional) but at the same time it was to be built drivable for me and the girlfriend. had an aluminum radiator from a previous build on a 66 nova that fit perfect!!!! after having the engine in place and dropping the car i noticed the tunnel had to be cut out for the driveshaft so i cut it out and made a new tunnel in the car. while i was on the whole sheet metal kick on the car i ordered all the replacment panels that had some rust and replaced them all also. bought an under floor power brake set up for the car and ran all the brake lines. this leads to where iam now. pulled the engine back out smoothed the firewall and painted everything begining to put it all back together and now again jobless and at a stand still but hoping to have ready fro viva. still interested in 30's cars or sale of the car if interested? if not i will keep building it and have something in the 30's after it is built. here are a few pics of building it
