So I came home today to box of Club Plaques from O'Brien Truckers. They turned out really good! Fast service and great people to work with.
M***holes, that's funny! I'll have to remember that one, I go out there for work a couple of times a year. Last time I made a comment about Ohio and the bartender was from there. Guess who didn't get anymore drinks?
They are, in fact I think they made the HAMB keychains. They do our club plaques and also made us some cool keychains.
damn... i was hoping we would keep talking sh#t and have an interesting hamb meet and greet at the next show just to ****e things up!! ...that was just my best m***hole comeback
The O'Brien's hold a NSRA apportion meet every year. And he sets out samples of all the plaques he has made it's quite impressive
they turned out good. i have heard nothing but great things about O'Briens for a long time. seem like the people to deal with for cast aluminum.
Kinda figured! I'm sure we've already crossed paths without even knowing it. Oh, and not to derail this thread, Dennis & Sue are the best!
Got a old O'brien plaque on mine from 1982 or so. Defunked club since. Everyone was happy with the quality at the time. Nice stuff. I like old clubby plaques. Friend of mine has one from his heyday in the early 60's. Called ' Clutchers'.
Don't forget they have about 11,000 plaques from the 50's and 60's!I just started having them do some from my area (there were a lot of clubs in New England!).It'll be a while before I collect all the ones I want!
Those are just New England plaques we put out. We've finished cataloging the last of the Chicago Metal Craft patterns and now have about thirty more New England ones to show you next year (about 300 or so all together). Final total on the Chicago Metal Craft with the last 3000 we cataloged (and thanks to Bob K for eraning his rent by helping) was about 8,000. That means we have about 15,000 car club plaque patterns - 12,000 of them from the 50/60's and 3000 that we've done since 1978 (last count we'd done about 97,000 from those 3000 patterns.) OK, back to working on the plaques for the traditional areas at the Indy show..... Dennis PS Glad you likes your plaques 62ironhead.
