I need to weld some stainless tubing for a twin turbo setup.

What parts do I need to buy to purge weld the tubes?

All you need is a tee off the argon gage with a piece of plastic tubing. Duct tape the ends of the tubing that you are welding, cut a slit in one end, insert plastic tubing from gage, give it a minute or two and start welding.
It works a little better if you have two gages, that way you can regulate the purge gage down to a minimum. All you want to do is remove the air from the piece you are welding and fill it up with argon, so that as you weld the outside, the argon keeps air form getting to the weld on the inside.

    Go to a Dollar Store.
Buy a mini-Nerf foam football - the one that is about 2 1/2" OD and 4" long. Punch a hole down the axis, insert an inert gas line regulated to a couple of psi. You don't need much, just enough to maintain a little positive pressure / flow in the tube. Wedge the football in the opening of the tube. It helps to elevate the other end of the tube slightly as argon is heavier than air. Weld with as low heat as necessary and inspect each section for"icicles" that may impede flow.

    Works for me.
    Good luck.

Grab a second bottle and regulator for what ever gas you plan to use. Insert a tube from the regulator into the pipe using tape or a stopper of some sort to seal around the tube. Block the far end so that you can prevent reversion of air back into the tube, leaving a small hole for gas exit. Run the gas for a short time before starting your weld.
