I need pics of Blain Dauffman's chopped '56. Here's a pic below. It's the only one I got so if anyones got some closer shots I'd appreciate it. Especially of the windshield area. Anyone know how he got his windshield cut down like that? It's gotta be gl*** right? Completed before Lexan if I'm not mistaken. We're in the middle of a chop on my buddy's '56 Ford and the windshield is giving us fits? All those screwed up angles and curves. Ideas?
Might like to sandblast those tight curves. I've done a few (no fun), alot gets taken off the lower sides as it "rolls" back into place. Look at the angle of the gl***, much more lean than stock. Should cut a "junk" W/S first then fit the body to it. Is the only way to be sure gl*** will fit.............OLDBEET
Thanks OLDBEET. We sandblasted the cracked one that came out of the car but couldn't get the angles to line up. This is one of those that you'd have to do a few times for sure. I know what you mean about the lean on the gl***. I stared at the angle on it for about five minutes when we were in the shop last night. It's kind of a trip. Looks good though. We may need to find a stack of gl*** to practice on to get the cut just right.
