How do you wire up an air ride system to operate without the car being wired up? I know I've seen it done, but no one has ever explained it. Reason being, the Galaxie I picked up is bagged, and the trunk popper is also hooked up the same way,and the only way to turn on the compressor and electrical to the system is to use a jump box, ground to the door handle and connect the wires to the positive side of the jump box. As of right now, nothing on the Galaxie is wired up(The wiring harnesses are there and complete, but i can't wire up any of the dash, motor or ignition components because the dash and ignition stuff is in the trunk, haha)

If you have a battery in the car, you can run a 14 gauge wire to your switches and compressor relay, then you run an 8 gauge wire from your battery to your compressor. That help?

That could help. Yeah, only way to get that damn trunk open is with power to the bag system and trunk popper, which are all hooked up together, haha. Looks like I'm going to redo the bag setup to as soon as I can see under the car. I think they went old school with it,and I'm going to have to put a 4 link, maybe upgrade everything also. I want to keep it simple like it is now,but dependable. As it is,I think the valves have a slow leak because we aired up the bags to put it on the trailer and by the time we got home( about an hour and a half) the car had dropped just enough to high center on the loading raps, and aired out completely by the next morning.

Can't you get through the back seat? I don't know how those Galaxies are constructed. I'd even go as far as to cut an access hole, if there's a bulkhead behind the cushion, for future use should you ever need it ...

Finally got in the trunk, and pulled everything out. Lot's of goodies in there including a dizzy equipped with a Pertronix Igniter unit,an electric fuel pump, and a plethora of other goodies.
