My pal Glenn dropped by in his Aussie built Lotus 7 last night. As Mike, AKA Draglinks, knows, this guy is a total pain. He shows up unnanounced, usually stoned and tweaked. If he'd call first, he'd always be welcome. Anyway, he really is a car guy, and he's gone through at least twenty since I've known him. He bought this Lotus off e-bay and DROVE it home from California. It has an aluminum body with fibergl*** fenders. It's powered by a 1700 cc Ford Kent engine with twin Dellortos and a Sierra 5 speed. It's right hand drive and has a New South Wales license tag on it. The wheels are Magnum slots, presumably made in Australia, and Picor (SP?) instruments. As far as it being a real Lotus 7, that's debateable, but it is a fun little car that handles like **** on a hot shovel, and it ain't slow. That's my three year old hellion, Miles, inside the car. After Glenn left, I asked Miles what kind of car that was, he said, "That's a race car Daddy." Gotta start 'em young.
Great pic Nads! Your kid hooked on cars yet? I wish mine were. Lotus's were such bad *** race machines. My father-in-law used to race a couple of Lotus 7's on a circuit. I've got a tape of him featured on "Wide World of Sports" at home..
thats kool Nads I got me a new chick she has a 4 yr old and a 11 yr old they are both wearing Rumblers support stuff and after she gave me a bubble bath with glitter saturday night she said she would be my garage girl and wear a mini skirt and red high heels and p*** me my wrenches life is great aint it????
Oh yeah, hudsoncustom, it's all about "Hot Rod" this and "Cadillac" that. He took apart my Maglite and lost all the parts. He has his own set of wooden tools and tool box. He calls screwdrivers, "skoosdivers." Here's a picture of me and Ed Roth with my daughter in it, she's 14 now and not into cars too much.
Another picture with Rumbler Dave and recent Rumbler Nomad Zor, who's on the HAMB. I'd love to see some pictures of your children.

I think that it would be a hell of a lot of fun, like a Formula Ford on the street. Although you'd have to watch out for SUVs that can't see you in your motorized rollerskate. Nice pictures, too. By the way, what the heck is your avatar? Is that one of your album covers? --Matt
Too cool Nads. Bet ya get that tear sometimes like I do, like when my boy said "Nice ***" to a nurse at U of M hospital. He was 2, and had been on a marathon of Smokey and the Bandit... And every day, he asks "when are we gonna build the Hemi, Dad." That makes me proud. Congrats and good luck! Jay
Hey Nads, here's a pic I've posted before, but I love this one. My ex-wife's dad set up his '67 Firebird at the World of Wheels in Omaha and when I went down on Friday to check it out I was talking to a buddy of mine on one side of the car and looked up. Ed had set up his booth right across the aisle from my father-in-law. Got to spend the entire weekend talking to him and he gave my son a bunch of stuff and also outfitted his stroller with doo-dads. I got a poster and a shift knob. And here's a pic of my kids and I now, taken about 2 weeks ago. It is amazing how fast the last 5 years have gone by.
