so here is my project, this is the 1st car that i am build form ground up. i have had a few cars in the past but nothing that i have built. it is a 1928 ford model A sedan, and i hope that it turns out as good as i think that it will. this is what i found to start with. only thin is that i am not using the frame, motor, or anything much but the body. gettin ready to cut it up. really nerves before i did this. i have never used a cut off wheel or a saw all, before this. like i said this is my 1st build no more top back together, now i have to do all the little stuff. i think i turned out, had to learn how to weld really fast. this is the mil that i will be running. 1959 352 fe block out of a thunderbird. should go like a*****d*****. so here it is i have done a little more since these pics but i do not have pics off that stuff yet. jonny
well got a little more done the car this weekend. got the window frame bolted in and cut down 4 inches and all the parts working so it flips open and all the good stuff. my shop, my 28 and my buddy's 56 meteor
ha thanks guys, it has bee a lot of work up to this point, and a hell of a lot to go. will keep posting pics
That is a fantastic start, hard to believe it's your first project! One thing though...please get some proper jack stands to replace the concrete blocks. Those things can break and kill you.
well just got most off my goodies for my frame, and my good buddy is bring the frame in 2 weeks. so now all i need is to figure out how to put all the new***** on the frame and build motor mounts and trans mount and then i can drive it away right. lol. will post pics of the frame sitting on some wheels soon i hope.
everything should just bolt right up with out any cutting needed. you should be driving her buy Sat night.... JK... Lets see some mock up pictures soon....
so i have got my frame now, and just waiting for a few more pieces before i start tacking on all the***** i have for it. so here is the frame hopefully i will have pics if the a rolling frame soon. Jonny
well i finally gave up my life of sitting in front of the t.v. and got my**** into the shop and this is what has come out of the last 2 weeks. i think that the 28 has come out pretty*****-in good. the car is almost exactly what have have pictured in my head. well now it is time to mock up the motor and build the floor, hope i can keep motivated. thank to Micah for all the advice and direction, and thanks to teddy and rick for the help.
ya I'm liking the snow tires too. they are the prefect mock up tire, 31 inches tall. well hope to have the motor in 2-3 weeks, just need to get the trans that i have been told that i can buy.
well got the motor hanging in place, now i can start all the mounts, and laying out the floor, i am a little worried about the amount of room for the pedals, maybe i should have gone with a S/B. but hey why make life easy, that's no fun. beside i think i might confuse some people buy not putting a SBC.
