Old chev van sraight axle, discs ???

    Hello tonite. I am putting a chevy van axle in my 55 Chevy 2dr. I have info that Chevelle hubs fit, but that is it. What Chevelle, and disc brakes.. anybody.??? thanks, Lloyd :)

    Would love this info as well- i've got a 65 G10 Chevy Van axle in my Falcon g***er. The G10 sites haven't been much help.....

    i have been told that the drums are the same as the chevelle/camaro....

    Whats the name of the junkyard cross reference book HOLLANDER or something like that.

    It should tell you everything that you need ..

    Or I could be way off base on that!

  4. Hollander books won't give you that info.
    They will tell you what year, make and model used the same part.

    hey thanks Memph, that is such good info, right down to part numbers...:D:D. You might see the 55 Chevy next year, I am just north of Bellingham, Wa.

    Hope this helps, My buddy just converted his '66 Chevelle to disc front brakes...He told me he used all '78 Monte Carlos front end stuff, a direct bolt in...Who knew?

    I certainly hope I do see it, with any luck you might see a 64 Nova wagon with its nose up too :)
